First Dances at NOAH’S
One of the most traditional elements of every wedding is the bride and groom’s first dance together as a married couple! It is often one of the highlights of the reception alongside the toasts, bouquet toss and cake cutting. For the bride and groom it is a heartfelt part of their special day. Many couples agonize over picking the perfect song while others incorporate a tune that has had special meaning to them long before they even got engaged. We asked a few NOAH’S brides how they picked their first dance songs and what their selections meant to them!
TIFFANY & DEVIN – NOAH’S of South Jordan
Song: “Open Season” by High Highs
Tiffany: “On one of many dates I pointed out to Devin that I really, really loved this song because of the cute story it told. I didn’t think he thought much of it, but apparently Devin took a mental note of the song and remembered I had loved it. Months later, after we had been in an argument, he spent all day looking for the song. He came to my house that night and played this song and told me that he loved me for the first time. That’s when I knew for sure that I loved him too!”
MORGAN & BUBBA – NOAH’S of Fairview
“Give It All We Got Tonight” by George Strait
Morgan: “We both just really liked the song!”
KRISTEN & SCOT – NOAH’S of Chandler
“When You Got a Good Thing” by Lady Antebellum
BRIAUNNA & JEREMY – NOAH’S of South Jordan
Brianna: “We picked this song because it was different than a traditional first dance song. Jeremy says that he thought of me the very first time that he heard this song.”
In addition to choosing the perfect tune, NOAH’S couples can also choose from a variety of ways to play their first dance song. Many couples opt to have their DJ play their first dance song through his or her sound system, but every room at NOAH’S is also equipped with a built-in surround sound system that a DJ can plug into if they would like. Cables are also provided if a couple wants to simply plug in an iPod, computer or MP3 player to the in-house sound system. If you will be swaying to a live band or musician, the stage in the Main Hall is a fun way to highlight the performers. Because the stage is electronic and can be quickly and easily raised from the hardwood floor, it’s possible to raise the stage only for the duration of the song to feature the musicians. (Bonus: Your guests will be very impressed!) Many NOAH’S couples utilize the built-in screen and projector during their first dance to feature a photo slideshow of their relationship as a backdrop to their first dance as husband and wife. Whatever your vision is for your first dance, NOAH’S has you covered.
Check out one of the latest reviews we received from a DJ who attended an event at NOAH’S of Sugar Land, Texas!
Being a radio DJ I have an ear for music and sound system quality. The audio visual displays here are precision to the point that people doing toasts and roasts were able to align with photos and videos with perfect time and the sound system is insanely bad ass. Wanna dance with some ground shaking bass with any worries or complaints from the neighbors or hotel residents? Use this place. There are no neighbors or other residents to be concerned about and the sound system is killer. Sub woofers galore.
