A Bright, Relaxed Wedding Reception at NOAH’S in High Point, NC
Morgan and Sully’s wonderfully rainy wedding day in North Carolina featured a big, bright, beautiful wedding reception at NOAH’S Event Venue. After a church ceremony, the elegant Main Hall at NOAH’S allowed them to show off the playful, colorful sides of their personalities as well as pull off a classy, traditional reception. After taking a stroll in the rain for a swoon-worthy photo shoot, the couple ducked back inside to spend the evening laughing and dancing with their guests. Follow along for a sneak peek into their romantic wedding reception!
When it came to wedding looks, Morgan chose a bright white and cool silver palette. She wore a long, fitted gown with lace detailing and a fanned train. Her jewelry was all pearls and diamonds, adding a glossy poshness to her icy white color scheme. Her hair was swept up in a graceful bridal updo, crowned with a crystalline headband and pinned back with a short, elegant veil. Rather than opting for the traditional wedding heels, Morgan chose charming glitter sneakers to stay comfortable as she danced the night away. Our favorite detail was the unconventional bouquet: exquisite silk roses in shades of ivory, silver, and dove gray, studded with crystals, pearls, and other jewels. Her bridesmaids added some verve to the color palette in enchanting turquoise gowns.
While his groomsmen wore charcoal gray, the groom set himself apart in a super classy navy suit. He added a bit of pizazz with a bright turquoise necktie, and his groomsmen followed suit with turquoise bow ties of their own. His accessories included a turquoise pocket square, a gear-heavy black watch, and brown leather brogues.
The reception took place in NOAH’S of High Point’s grand Main Hall, and the couple utilized the soaring ceilings, customizable ceiling designs, and elegant wood detailing to build a laid-back, whimsical night. Morgan and Sully chose rustic wood decor features, a bright color palette, and soft, cursive typography to convey a chill, easygoing atmosphere. Signage featured painted flowers and tender scriptures from the Bible to add a hint of their beliefs. We love that!
The couple’s unique take on the traditional guestbook was particularly fun! Instead of a simple book for their loved ones to sign, Morgan and Sully designed an art print of a tree without leaves and let their guests ink up their thumbs with the color of their choice and create a rainbow of leaves made of one-of-a-kind fingerprints. So original!
We were in love with the charming cake that Sully and Morgan chose for their cake-cutting ceremony. One dainty layer is the perfect size for storing away until next year when the couple takes the traditional bite of wedding cake on their anniversary!
As for dessert, the couple served up a delicious arrangement of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes decorated with fluffy pink, white, and brown frosting. The cupcakes were exhibited on a superbly chic marbled display that was perfectly contemporary and oh-so-appetizing.
The finale of the evening was a spectacular sparkler send-off with Sully and Morgan’s friends and family members. Guests cheered as the newlyweds shared one last smooch under the shower of glittering sparks before heading off on their next adventure together.
This fabulous reception was a breath of fresh air on a rainy day. The romance, the dancing, the cupcakes, the fireworks… it all came together to form an unforgettable wedding afterparty to celebrate the love story of this amazing couple. Congrats to Sully and Morgan!
