Kimberly and Gary followed their wedding ceremony at a church with a beautiful, colorful reception at NOAH’S Event Venue of Oklahoma City, OK. By utilizing a bright color palette with warm hues of goldenrod, magenta, flamingo pink, and creamsicle orange, they made their decor really pop. Gary and Kimberly put the classic elegance at NOAH’S to good use to help create an upscale yet playful atmosphere for their big day. Let’s take a peek at their charming reception details!
Kimberly wore a chic, strapless gown with a romantic sweetheart neckline and a tiered, flowy skirt. She added a little glitz to her look with metallic silver heels, diamond earrings, and an old-fashioned pendant necklace. Finally, she added a glamorous modern take on a retro headband from the flapper days of the Roarin’ 1920’s. Kimberly’s wedding bouquet for her Oklahoma City reception featured a vast array of colorful roses, including renaissance roses, bourbon roses, Queen Elizabeth roses, and more! Ranging from white to bubblegum pink to canary yellow to sunset orange, this bouquet was a frilling, trailing display of natural romance and organic beauty, complete with tendrils of tender olive leaves and dainty hypericum berries.
Gary’s wedding style was a slightly laid-back version of a traditional groom’s suit. For extra style, Gary forewent a suit jacket for photos. He opted for a cool, patterned vest that gave him a relaxed, contemporary vibe. The finishing details to his look were a modern wristwatch and a pair of shiny black brogues. His style came together for an undeniably charming, fun wedding day look.
Reception details we’re obsessing over: the way bright blossoms and lush greenery adorned the head table; the way the Gary and Kimberly chose a mix of pearly satin linens and textured pintuck linens to create contrast; the way the lovebirds used our lanterns and decorations of their own, including tall glass chalices holding floating tea candles, to transform the Main Hall at NOAH’S of Oklahoma City, OK into a classy, colorful wedding reception. The couple kept their loved ones happy with a myriad of savory snacks and sweet treats. In addition, guests were invited to sign a paper leaf on the couple’s tree-shaped art collage. Such a memorable, creative alternative to the traditional guestbook!
Later in the evening, Kimberly and Gary let the lights go dim. This highlighted the groovy purple of their uplights and helped really get the party started. One of the best moments of the evening was when guests picked Kimberly up in her chair. The photos say it all: pure joy.
A scattering of leaves and colorful roses decorated the table that held their wedding cake, which served as a focal point of their Oklahoma City reception decor. The cake itself was undeniably eye-catching with three dramatic layers. A different texture and design decorated each tier, with gorgeous frosting roses on the bottom layer, a luxurious Swiss dot pattern in the middle, and a pristine white layer on top. Between the top and middle tier, the cake featured an entire layer of fresh roses. Lastly, a gold, cursive topper finished off this delicious dessert. From top to bottom, we love this cake!
After all was said and done, a sparkler send-off marked the end of the night. We loved getting to be a part of Gary and Kimberly’s colorful wedding reception at NOAH’S of Oklahoma City, OK. Best wishes to the new husband and wife!
