Love was in the air at Jake and Kelly’s whimsical summer wedding at NOAH’S Event Venue in Madison, Wisconsin. Between the midcentury-inspired decor and modern sense of style, this couple managed to achieve a fun and unique wedding day. Notably, Jake and Kelly chose a color palette that we’re loving for 2020: warm, desert tones including dusky salmon, lush amaranth, burnished gold, luxurious copper, sandstone orange, moody brick red, and delicate coral. From morning ’til night, this couple’s wedding day was imaginative, ethereal, and utterly charming.
Kelly’s wedding look was all organic shapes, floral whimsy, and wispy fairy vibes. Her gown was a unique take on the traditional princess silhouette with a fluffy skirt made of dozens of asymmetrical layers and an airy illusion top with cut-outs of lacy flowers. Kelly’s had a cozy, sunsetty look with peachy blush and eyeshadow in shades of cider and burgundy that was perfectly on theme with the warm-toned color palette. Speaking of which, Kelly’s bridesmaids were resplendent in their dresses in warm hues ranging from the lightest ballet slipper peach to a dark, balmy barn red. We love it when a bridal party’s cohesive look brings the wedding color scheme together. Kelly chose a softly bohemian up-do framed with loose curls and bound with a short veil. As for accessories, the bride went minimalistic with only a pair of glittering earrings and her swoon-worthy engagement ring to add a little bling to her ensemble. The finishing touches were a pair of strappy silver sandals and an overflowing bouquet of ruffled white roses and wild greenery.
Jake and his groomsmen coordinated in sleek black suits, bold mauve pocket squares, and our favorite detail: matching purple-hued neckties with an artsy polka-dot pattern. Jake paired his wedding day look with brown leather oxfords and a masculine metal wristwatch. Seeing the groom, bride, and bridal party together in their harmonizing outfits made for a picture-perfect wedding tableau.
The vows took place in NOAH’S fabulous Main Hall. Jake and Kelly went all out with our premium ceiling package. The room was draped in swaths of luxurious silky linens and strands of twinkling fairy lights and a gauzy backdrop that framed the altar but let in the perfect amount of natural sunlight from the impressive floor-to-ceiling windows. A dazzling crystal chandelier hung over the pair as they became husband and wife. Jake and Kelly decorated the ceremony stage with romantic gold candle stands as well as abundant bouquets in tall copper vases.
After the You-May-Now-Kiss part was over, it was party time in the Main Hall! The couple chose shiny satin linens in blush pink and lustrous copper to line their tables which were laden with framed engagement photographs, cozy candles, and small signs with romantic quotes in cursive calligraphy. Floral arrangements ranged in size and shape from the tiniest, most delicate vines of ivy to enormous golden baskets brimming with roses, carnations, olive leaves, hydrangeas, and snapdragons.
We have a soft spot for creative cakes, and the lovebirds didn’t disappoint on this sweet, brightly colored, berry confection! Exhibited on a posh silver display wreathed with a garland of fresh olive leaves, their unconventional cake was airbrushed hot pink and topped with oodles of tender blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. The clincher was a quartet of perfectly-baked French macarons balanced on top. Dare we say: yummy!
We were blown away by this amazing, free-spirited couple and we’re pleased as punch that they chose to celebrate with us at NOAH’S of Madison, Wisconsin on the most important day of their lives. Congratulations to these cute newlyweds!
