A Drop-Dead Gorgeous Reception at NOAH’S in Auburn Hills, Michigan
When Arie and Scott were planning their wedding reception, they chose to focus on elegance. After a beautiful wedding ceremony at a nearby church, the couple picked NOAH’S to celebrate the happy occasion with their friends and family. NOAH’S is famous for its simple style and classy attention to detail, but Scott and Arie kicked it up an extra notch to create a reception that was truly drop-dead gorgeous.
Dressed to the nines in their wedding fabulousness—a classic black and white suit for Scott; a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and a striking silhouette for Arie—the lovebirds threw a party that was as refined and sophisticated as they are. We’re obsessed with the hanging bouquets of roses and greenery suspended from NOAH’S versatile rafters by thin wires that gave the flowers the appearance of magically floating in mid-air. We also loved the couple’s other decisions for decor, like the tall crystal goblets with delicate, viney pink blossoms swimming in water. All their choices gave the reception an ethereal aura of grace and poise.
And don’t forget the floral centerpieces! Here at NOAH’S, we go bonkers over a creative, well-designed centerpiece. Arie and Scott chose a clean, subtle tablescape with a simple hand-lettered card with each table’s number. The shell pink roses in the centerpiece matched Arie’s bouquet, while the white roses matched Scott’s boutonniere. We’re suckers for symmetry, and these two were pros at tying every color and every theme together with elegance and panache.
Though Arie and Scott hosted a polished reception with dignified, refined taste… they still knew how to have fun. Between the speeches, the cake-cutting, the dancing, and the games of pool with Scott’s groomsmen, all the guests were laughing and celebrating the night away. We love couples who can balance the serious stuff with a little bit of silliness.
When at last it came time for the newlyweds to leave the celebration and start the next chapter of their lives together, their guests didn’t let them go without one final surprise. With bottles of champagne in hand, they popped the corks and cheered as fizzy liquor spouted into the air and rained down on the happy couple. A true wedding send-off, if we’ve ever seen one. Congratulations, Arie and Scott!
