A Pretty Summer Wedding at NOAH’S in Des Moines, IA
Kyle and Nicole tied the knot at NOAH’S Event Venue on a beautiful June day in Des Moines, Iowa. The lovebirds created a soft, romantic atmosphere with simple decor, clean lines, and an emphasis on florals. To accent their theme, they chose a muted color palette of gold, peach, and light pink, with ivory as a neutral base. This sweet couple celebrated with style and class. We’re so pleased that we get to share some of the exquisite details of their ceremony and reception with you!
The lovely bride was photo-ready in her long white sheath gown with delicate lace straps, a crystal belt, and ruffly train. She donned a stylish waist-length veil over her pretty brown up-do that showed off her long neck and sparkling diamond earrings. A stunning handful of peachy peonies and shell pink roses filled Nicole’s gorgeous bouquet, setting the color scheme for the entire wedding and reception. For her final touch, Nicole had a playful trick up her sleeve… or should we say, on her feet because it was her glittery silver sneakers that had us smiling all day long!
Kyle’s look was cool and contemporary in his dark blue three-piece suit accented with sleek brown leather wingtips and a pale pink tie. He accessorized with a unique triple rose boutonniere, a leather watch, and charming argyle socks. Kyle’s four groomsmen dressed to match in dark blue suits, brown shoes, and pale pink ties.
The peach, ivory, blush, and gold details at Nicole and Kyle’s reception had us swooning. The Main Hall at NOAH’S was designed with stately floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the room with soft natural light. With that in mind, Kyle and Nicole utilized the brightness of the space by decorating with clean ivory linens, organza draperies to filter the sunlight, and reflective golden dishes. Lush greenery and floral arrangements of all shapes and sizes, including roses and hydrangeas floating in mod geometric vases, round bouquets balanced atop tall glasses, and long garlands of eucalyptus that spanned the entire length of the banquet tables packed the tables.
We can’t help but highlight the cutest detail from the reception: this framed memento from Kyle’s past. The framed note reads, “Kyle bets 100 dollars he won’t get married,” and then it’s signed and dated back in 1997. What a silly, sweet remembrance to bring some personality and authenticity to the couple’s wedding celebration! We absolutely love it!
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Kyle and Nicole served scrumptious chocolate and vanilla cupcakes on a towering display! Best of all, guests didn’t need to wait for the cake to be cut! They could just grab one of these aesthetically appealing black and white treats and continue the celebration.
What a seriously perfect wedding day we got to spend with Nicole and Kyle. We’re so happy for these amazing newlyweds and it was a pleasure that they chose NOAH’s as their venue. Congrats to Nicole and Kyle!
