An Astrological, Star Themed Wedding at NOAH’S in Albuquerque, NM
Julie and Aaron’s star-themed wedding at NOAH’S Event Venue in Albuquerque was out of this world! When it comes to choosing a uniquely romantic and exceptionally creative party theme, this couple takes the cake! Their moon and star decor, cosmic desserts, and astronomical design details were stunning!
Wedding Day Style
Julie and Aaron’s wedding ensembles were fashion-forward, from Julie’s pure white strapless gown made of layers and layers of floating organza to her incredible, floor-brushing veil and star-studded headpiece. Her super-unique bouquet simply took our breath away — roses, anemones, blue thistle, and silver brunia made up her otherworldly bouquet. The groom was dashing in a navy blue three-piece suit with a boutonniere full of roses and wildflowers to match Julie’s bouquet.
Julie and Aaron went both astronomical and astrological, playfully featuring their zodiac signs (Virgo + Virgo, awww!) on their wedding invitations. All the details of their galactic star wedding celebration at NOAH’S of Albuquerque were so perfectly on theme, we couldn’t handle it! Julie sported a starry crystal crown as well as starburst earrings, and delicate beading with a simple shooting star and moon pattern. Even Aaron’s suit was navy blue — très midnight sky! — and his tie was a very lunar ivory hue. Completely perfect from head to toe! We love that the bridal party wore navy blue and silver to reflect the colors of the cosmic theme!
The vow ceremony took place on the sun-warmed brick patio under our classic wooden arbor. The sunny day was perfect. Julie and Aaron decorated the arbor with a swath of twisted white organza and a gorgeous garland of paper anemone flowers.
Aaron and Julie’s reception in the Main Hall was decked out in cosmic decor from floor to ceiling! Tables at this Albuquerque wedding celebration featured unique arrangements of mystical astronomy books, star and moon shaped candelabras, constellation maps, and beautiful signage. There was an enormous moon-and-stars prop for guests to take photos with, and flickering candles placed on the accent tables to give the space a warm glow. They even brought the starry sky indoors with the ceiling. It featured a brilliant crystal chandelier and tiny, twinkling lights that looked just like stars!
Beyond the astronomical theme, the lovebirds stuck to a subtle and chic color palette of navy, white, and gold. Instead of fresh flowers, Aaron and Julie decorated with hip, artsy paper black anemone flowers and greenery. Whether it was the centerpieces or the photo backdrop or the decorations on the guestbook table, Julie and Aaron kept things whimsical, refreshing, and insanely creative.
The celestial theme didn’t end with the decorations; even the cupcakes and cake were intergalactic! Julie and Aaron’s wedding cake brought a starry night to NOAH’S of Albuquerque. The airbrushed night sky even featured twinkly stars. This cake was seriously unique and perfectly on-theme. All in all, Julie and Aaron’s desserts were as incredible to look at as they were to eat.
What could be a more fitting end for this Albuquerque wedding than a twinkly sparkler send-off into the star-filled night? We’re so lucky that we got to celebrate this beautiful day with such a stellar couple! Each and every star — from the clothes to the decorations to the desserts — made NOAH’S feel like its own romantic galaxy!
Congratulations to this cool and creative couple!
