A Swoon-Worthy Wedding Reception at NOAH’S in Tulsa, OK
For Megan and Alex’s wedding dinner and reception at NOAH’S of Tulsa, elegance was the focus. The pair worked with the professionals at NOAH’S to design a classic, comfortable reception concept full of bright natural lighting, delicate white linens for texture, and a soft pink color palette. From dinner to dancing to the final farewell on our red brick patio, celebrating this lovely couple was a true delight.
The day started off with primping and preening in our special bride’s suite, the perfect place for brides and bridesmaids to get ready to look their best for the big day. Megan and the girls wore matching satin robes as they fixed their hair and carefully applied makeup. Megan’s bridal look was dazzling and romantic: a ravishing low-backed gown with a swoon-worthy full skirt and a dainty bodice with lace details. She chose pale blue sandals with straps studded with pearls, delicate silver jewelry, and a perfectly coiffed low-swept bun.
Alex opted for a classically handsome wedding outfit: a sharp three-piece suit worn over traditional suspenders and pointed black oxfords. His boutonniere was a single pink rose framed with fragrant herbs. Some of our favorite outfit details included the classy double edge on his jacket lapels and his stylish round wristwatch. We also loved his choice of a bold pale pink tie that showed a bit of his fun personality!
The couple wanted their reception to be remembered as chic, tasteful, and classic, so they set the tone with a sheer color palette of light pink and cream, with a few bold pops of sapphire for depth. We love the way they used our clean white linens alongside our striking royal blue pintuck linens to give their dinner scene a bit of extra personality, and the shell pink table runners were the ideal finishing touch. Moreover, Alex and Megan incorporated a nuanced floral theme into their signage and decorations, adding dimension to the exquisite arrangements of fresh roses, peonies, and tender greens on every table. Finally, add in a couple of NOAH’S signature whimsical lanterns amidst those beautiful flowers and you’ve got yourself a real centerpiece.
This adorable couple put an emphasis on dancing. With its polished hardwood floors, lofty ceilings, and aristocratic design, the main hall made the perfect ballroom for dancing the night away. Megan and Alex chose simple yet elegant decor, like dramatic white draperies that cascaded from the rafters, twinkle lights to add warm and dimension, and our famous Spoke chandelier.
The cake was a decadent five-tier confection sporting gorgeous, unique frosting decorations on every different layer. With a beautiful custom topper and fresh pink roses and peonies, this towering cake stole the hearts (and stomaches!) of every one of Megan and Alex’s guests. As if the glorious white wedding cake wasn’t enough, the couple also offered a chocolatey groom’s cake decorated with icing in the shape of their home state, Oklahoma!
Finally, Megan and Alex made an exit fit for a fairytale. On NOAH’S acclaimed red brick patio, the newlyweds said their goodbyes to a crowd full of family and friends armed with mini bottles of bubbles, filling the air with delicate orbs and creating a perfectly magical backdrop for photos. At last, Megan and Alex hopped in their getaway and with a cheer from the audience, headed off to start their own happily ever after. Congratulations, Alex and Megan!
